Heating And Cooling Solutions For Medstrom
Medstrom’s Requirement
As part of our customer’s growth plans, they have recently occupied a neighbouring unit and within this unit is a working area with a standard ceiling height of 2.8m. The customer wants to introduce a solution that will provide heating and cooling for the workspace and doesn’t rely on gas as its fuel source.
OKEL’s Solution
Given the height of the ceiling and requirements for the new system to heat and cool, OKEL suggested the introduction of a climate-controlled air conditioning system that benefits users with its heating and cooling functionalities.
For the evenest distribution of heating and cooling, we introduced 2 Mitsubishi ceiling-mounted cassettes that were to be spaced evenly down the centre of the working area – Each of the ceiling cassettes was supported by the introduction of Mitsubishi outside condenser units that were mounted on the external brick wall either side of the window and close to existing condensers.
Our chosen model of high-efficiency air conditioning system came with a Coefficient of performance (COP) rating of 4 which allows the customer to gain 4kw of power for every kw to give higher efficiency, lower energy consumption, and resulting in lower operating costs.

Due to the available space above the ceiling tiles, we fitted two Mitsubishi space collars around each of the ceiling mount cassettes to ensure that the new system was visually appealing as well as effective and efficient.
Medstrom Results

The air conditioning system was installed to schedule and the team at Medstrom are already enjoying the benefits of the heating functionality and looking forward to a cool summer in the workplace.
