Customer Brief

A leading designer and manufacturer of CCTV surveillance camera and control systems, 360 Vision Technology contacted OKEL to provide a cooling solution for the mezzanine floor of their warehouse.

Due to heat being generated by production processes taking place on the ground floor and the positioning of the customers’ existing suspended Benson air heater, warm air was being transported directly into the mezzanine area and creating extreme heat within the enclosed space.

OKEL Solution

To combat the extreme heat on the mezzanine floor, OKEL chose to install an Eco Cooling roof-mounted evaporative cooler and extraction solution that would deliver a maximum flow rate of 14,000m³/hr and approximately 15 air changes per hour.

Evaporative cooling is the most natural and cost-effective way to cool large open plan space and provides a simple, safe, and low-cost solution to the cooling of people, processes, and products.

Installation and hand over

Due to the layout of the mezzanine floor, in particular the high storage racking and limited wall space, OKEL’s installation team opted to install a roof mounted design which enabled both the input and extract systems to be roof mounted and ducted down into the mezzanine floor below.

The installation took place over 3 consecutive days with minimum disruption to the day to day running of the customers business and with all works being completed to timescale and commissioned to manufacturers guidelines.
